GOWRAN GOES: Tonight’s meeting at Gowran Park has been called off as the ‘summer’ weather claims another victim. Shamrock opposes an odds-on favourite at Southwell.

This evening’s meeting at Gowran Park has been abandoned after significant rainfall hit the track on Wednesday morning.

The track were set to inspect at 11am but brought the inspection forward by half an hour as further rainfall and high winds had been forecast.

The clerk of the course at Tramore, Paddy Graffin, has reported that Thursday evening’s card could be in doubt.

The track has also seen plenty of rain during the morning and more is anticipated.

At Southwell tonight I’m taking on the Irish bred Parisian Princess who is currently odds-on at around 1.96 on BETDAQ.

She has proved hard to win with and you can never assume a horse will handle the unique surface here until proven. Always happy to take on this type of horse.
