CURRAGH CONCLUDING MAIDEN: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the final race on the Curragh card on Saturday where the Aidan O’Brien trained runner Frankincense stands out.
It looks an O’Brien monopoly in the concluding race at the Curragh this afternoon with Joseph’s one runner Arthurian Fame taking on a trio from Aidan’s yard.
Arthurian Fame was well beaten on debut at Cork in heavy ground in a four runner field (Giuseppe Garibaldi a further 14 lengths back in third) and should improve for the run but preference is for Frankincense, a son of Galileo, who made an encouraging debut at Navan when fourth to Coeur Sublime. It would come as no surprise to see him improve bundles from that run and keep up Aidan O’Brien’s great record in this race.
