START OF A GREAT WEEKEND AT FAIRYHOUSE: There are three Grade 1 races on the card on Sunday and today SHAMROCK looks ahead to the two Grade B handicaps on the card.
Can’t wait for Fairyhouse this weekend, especially on Sunday with the Grade 1 races.
There’s a competitive card there today though with two Grade B handicaps on the card:
1:25 Ballyhack Handicap Chase (Grade B) (4yo+, 2m 1f, 13 runners) Musawama has a feather weight here but looks a sound win and place proposition. There was so much to like about his win last time out at Thurles when he made all, jumped well and won easily by 14 lengths. Clearly this is much tougher but he’s worth siding with in this really competitive handicap.
2:30 Bar One Racing Handicap Hurdle (Grade B) (4yo+, 2m, 13 runners) Captain Cee Bee tops the weights here but I was disappointed with his effort last time out when a well beaten third to Dedigout in a Grade 2 hurdle at Navan. Preference is for Pink Coat who coped well with a step-up in class last time out at Naas to finish third to Courtncatcher in a Grade C handicap hurdle.
