SAVING THE BEST UNTIL LAST: SHAMROCK’s Saturday nap runs in the closing mares bumper at 4.00.
Westport Lady will hopefully be worth waiting for in the closing bumper on today’s excellent card at Naas.
The Willie Mullins trained mare has started favourite in both her races to date and finished second on both occasions. The ease in ground should help her today and this doesn’t look the deepest of races.
The biggest danger may come from the point to point winner Daylight Katie who makes her Rules debut today. Several of Gordon Elliott’s runners have been needing their first runs though.
Caravation ran well on her bumper debut and is very much on the shortlist.
