BELGRAVIA WITH CLASS TO WIN AT NAVAN: Listed race action at Navan this afternoon with the feature race being the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Yeats Stakes at 4.10pm.
Two Aidan O’Brien trained runners in the Listed race this afternoon and preference very much is for Belgravia who has been well backed in the morning BETDAQ market.
Belgravia has had just the three starts and lost his maiden tag last time out when stepped up to 1m 4f at Leopardstown and staying on well to beat Clongowes by three quarters of a length. The faster ground and trip seemed to help that day and he gets an extra furlong this afternoon.
O’Brien’s other runner in the race is Finn McCool who is actually the top-rated in the field, despite winning just one of his six starts. He didn’t show much when stepped up in trip at Chester last time out and although that was the Group 3 Chester Vase he may need shorter trips to show his best form.
The John Oxx trained Naughty Or Nice is an interesting contender. She won her debut in nice style at Gowran Park but that came on soft ground and she is stepped up in both class and distance today.
