The Jessica Harrington trained Albigna has won both her starts here and can maintain her unbeaten record in the highest level. She’s likely to make further improvement and can see off a strong Aidan O’Brien challenge.
3:35 Goffs Vincent O’Brien National Stakes (Group 1)
This should all be about Pinatubo who made a modest winning debut at Wolverhampton (in hindsight the best 3/1 chance of all time!) and has progressed into being a very smart juvenile who extended his unbeaten record with a highly impressive five length win in the Vintage Stakes at Glorious Goodwood. Just how good is he? No one knows but we’ll find out more today.
4:10 Comer Group International Irish St. Leger (Group 1)
Charlie Appleby, trainer of Pinatubo, can also land the Irish St Leger with Cross Counter who is the stable star after his wins in the Melbourne Cup/Dubai Gold Cup. He ran a solid race when third to Stradivarius at Goodwood and that should have put him spot on for this.
