CAMPAIGNING FOR ADVERTISE: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the Group 1 Keeneland Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh this afternoon.
Group 1 action at the Curragh this afternoon with the Keeneland Phoenix Stakes at 3.35pm and it’s all the fours for Aidan O’Brien. He’s won the last four runnings of it and saddles four of today’s six runners.
The pick of them is without doubt Sergei Prokofiev who finished third in the Coventry Stakes behind Calyx but the horse splitting the pair was Advertise who may thwart Sergei Prokofiev again.
That was Advertise’s only defeat in three starts and it’s likely he can find some further improvement. The Martyn Meade trained runner was impressive last time out when winning the Group 2 July Stakes at Newmarket.
The race is priced as a match and should pan out that way with the rest of the field ensuring a strongly run race.
