FOUR GROUP RACES AT NAAS: SHAMROCK looks ahead to a great card at Naas this afternoon where the feature is the Group 2 Beresford Stakes at 5.05pm.

A stellar card at Naas this afternoon with the feature being the two-year-olds strutting their stuff in the Group 2 Beresford Stakes at 5.05pm.

It’s an Aidan O’Brien monopoly race – he’s won the last seven so it’s no surprise to see his three runners in this year’s renewal occupying 1,2 and 3 in the BETDAQ market!

Mount Everest is favourite, on jockey bookings more than anything else – Moore rides him after Donnacha O’Brien won a maiden at the Curragh last time out when he wasn’t overly impressive but is is obviously progressive. He holds stable companion Sovereign (sixth) on that form but Sovereign has seemingly improved bundles since then judged by his Galway eased down 14 length success !!

Japan was a winner last time out but it came on heavy.

The O’Brien trio will be hard to beat and the safe play is probably to trust the judgement of connections and side with Mount Everest.
