CLONMEL ON THURSDAY: SHAMROCK’s NAP runs in the 3.45 race. After 12mm of rain overnight Clonmel is soft on the hurdle & bumper course and yielding on the chase course. More rain forecast.
An interesting card at Clonmel this afternoon not least of which because Aidan O’Brien saddles his first runner over timber for 10 years with Carriganog in the 3.15.
Best bet on the card though could come in the next race with the Noel Meade trained Silver Tassie.
He seems versatile ground wise and comes here in good form and was only beaten a neck by Lots Of Memories at Listowel last time out.
He has something to find with Becauseicouldntsee on official ratings but that rival is still likely to be warming up for another campaign chasing.
