ANY POWER LEFT? Ireland’s Horse Of The Year Sole Power is all set for his run in Sunday’s Hong Kong Sprint at Sha Tin.

The nap Solomon Northup finished second at Dundalk last night, frustratingly beaten just a head at 7/4 and even a stewards enquiry couldn’t come to my rescue.

Don’t forget to look out for Sole Power on Sunday. Eddie Lynam’s star sprinter is running in the Longines Hong Kong Sprint at Sha Tin.

It’s been a great year for Sole Power, winning the Group 1 King’s Stand and the Nunthorpe Stakes and going close in some other major races.

Lyname reported: “Sole Power lost a little more weight on the flight over than we would have liked but I’m happy enough with him. I’d say we’re hopeful about Sunday’s race although it’s more open this year without Lord Kanaloa.”

“The draw will be important and he’s a come-from-behind sprinter so we’d like to see a good even pace.”

“He’s had his best ever year. He’s rarely let us down, he had a great summer in England and we’re so proud of the horse especially after he was named Irish Horse of the Year.
