BROOCH LANDS NAP: SHAMROCK landed a winning NAP with BROOCH (WON 8/11) at Killarney yesterday and returns to the south west course for today’s best bets.

It was hard work for Brooch yesterday in the Vincent O’Brien Ruby Stakes.

An impressive debut winner at Galway, she took a big step up in class and was sent off an odds on favourite but it was only in the closing stages that she asserted. I’m sure she will be stepped up in distance for her next start.

At York, Australia really impressed in the Juddmonte International Stakes and he is expected to be seen next in the QIPCO Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown.

Another mixed card to look forward to at Killarney tonight. Dermot Weld’s Bleu Ciel Et Rouge should make it third time lucky and land the opener. She was only pipped on debut and then ran another sound race when second at Galway to Fit For The Job. She should land this maiden and the step-up in distance looks a positive.

The closing bumper looks a match between Double Speak and Fill Your Hands who were second and third in a Galway bumper. I expect the form to be confirmed and Double Speak come out on top again.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Bleu Ciel Et Rouge (5.10 Killarney)
NEXT BEST: Double Speak (8.10 Killarney)
