2/1 WINNING NAP: SHAMROCK landed a 2/1 WINNING NAP on Monday thanks to Mater Matuta at Ballinrobe. He returns to the course for Tuesday’s NAP and is bidding for a HAT-TRICK of winning naps !!
Mater Matuta landed the SHAMROCK NAP at 2/1 yesterday following on from Sunday’s NAP Red Tea WON 11/10.
Ballinrobe continues tonight with a jumps card starting at 6pm.
In the maiden hurdle at 6.30pm, the best bet looks to be the Gordon Elliott trained The Abbey – the race has a totally new shape given the defection of the Jessica Harrington trained Onlyhuman who has decent flat form.
The Abbey hasn’t been beaten far in his latest two starts and over the shorter trip might be able to reverse form with chief rival Dunbar.
The pair were 2nd and 4th at Roscommon last time out – split by nearly four lengths. Dunbar was doing his best work at the end whereas The Abbey dropped out of it at the second last and the shorter trip looks a sensible move.
