Dermot Weld has hit some good end of season form (two winners and three places from his last six runners) and can continue the good work with Alaykha in the fillies maiden at 4.15.

This is the Fairyhouse card that was called off last week due to the high winds. The wind may have calmed down but the going will be really testing and it’s heavy in places.

Alaykha should be OK on the surface. She was third in soft ground at Galway on her last turf start having disappointed on the all-weather last time out at Dundalk.

It’s fair to say she has proved a little disappointing since an excellent debut at Limerick when only beaten a short head but with the stable in good form and this being an especially weak race she can gain that elusive first win.

Decision Time was beaten a long way on her only previous start on this type of ground, although is a bumper winner on good ground, whilst Tellthemnuttin is a six times winner over the jumps who is making her flat debut after pulling up on her last two starts (testing ground both occasions).

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Alaykha (4.15 Fairyhouse)
