SLIGO EVENING CARD: SHAMROCK’S NAP runs in the opener on the evening card at Sligo.
The opening maiden at Sligo tonight presents a great opportunity for Alanannda to make up for her odds-on defeat on debut at Gowran Park. She was beaten a length and a half by the more experienced Sagittarius Rising but should be more at home on the slightly quicker surface here.
The three debutants are all big prices in the BETDAQ market and it looks as though the Gordon Elliott trained Loving A Bloom will be the biggest danger after a couple of good runs on the all-weather at Dundalk when formerly trained by Jessica Harrington.
Castletownshend ran a cracker on debut at Naas but has struggled since, although this does represent a drop in class compared with his fifth place in a Curragh maiden last time out.
