WEXFORD WASHED OUT: Irish racing resumes at Fairyhouse on Wednesday after the Wexford card today was called off.


No Irish racing today after the card at Wexford was called off.

The weather is also causing problems at Hexham.

They will hold another inspection at 8am on Wednesday morning ahead of their afternoon meeting.

Clerk of the course James Armstrong reports the track to be raceable following an 8am check on Tuesday, but further rain is forecast.

He tweeted: “Dry 48hrs & we are raceable again thanks to rail moves. Watching brief as could see 10-15mm (from) 1pm-10pm.

“We will inspect again at 8am on Weds given forecast rain this pm into this eve. Monitoring closely.”
