SHAMROCK AT PUNCHESTOWN: SHAMROCK heads to Punchestown on Wednesday where they race on unseasonably quick ground.
Not really what you expect at Punchestown in late October. Good (good to firm in places ground) and only changed early this morning to Good, Good to Yielding in places after rain at the track yesterday afternoon!!
As a result it’s no surprise to see the field sizes on the low side for the seven race card.
I’m just wondering whether their might be a spot of value in opposing the odds-on Wrath Of Titans in the opener?
The Dessie Hughes trained runner has been off the track for 277 days and comes up against Mr Diablo who absolutely stormed home here to win a bumper in May.
Wrath Of Titans unquestionably has achieved the most so far and has experience over the hurdles but Mr Diablo has plenty of potential and at respective BETDAQ prices of 1.74 and 4.7 think there’s a value line in here.
