EASY OPPORTUNITY FOR FACADE: Irish racing resumes at Dundalk on Wednesday with an easy looking opportunity for the Aidan O’Brien trained Facade in the 8.05.

Seven races at Dundalk tonight which gets underway at 6.05pm.

Facade will be at short odds, but that’s completely justified as she looks to have a straight forward task in the one mile Big Bad Bob Fillies Maiden at 8.05pm.

The Aidan O’Brien trained runner was a course and distance second to Don’t Be last time out in a Listed contest. Even allowing for the fact that it wasn’t a strong Listed race and Don’t Be was well beaten at Lingfield next time out – it still looks form easily good enough in the context of tonight’s race.

Of the dangers, Eagle Valley looks less exposed and shaped well over a longer trip here last time out but I don’t necessarily think the shorter trip will suit her better.

At better odds I thought Melanna is worthy of support again in the closing handicap at 9.05pm. She won her maiden over course and distance last time out having previously run in a Listed race where she was nibbled at in the market. She doesn’t look too harshly treated on her handicap debut.
