It was too much to ask for NAP number 13 on Monday the 13th !!! but nice to get the 13th up yesterday with Secret Recipe who was surprisingly weak in the market.

The action comes from Naas on Wednesday and there’s a Group race on the card – the Blue Wind Stakes (Group 3) at 6.50.

Just four runners and Dermot Weld’s Princess Highway is a street clear on official ratings and is odds-on on BETDAQ to repeat her success of last year, after which she went on to storm home at Royal Ascot in the Ribblesdale Stakes by six lengths.

I can’t nap her tonight in case it rains. Her third to Great Heavens in the Irish Oaks at the Curragh was on soft ground and conditions then were described as ‘not ideal’ by her connections and if the heavens open tonight I fear she could be vulnerable.

We’ll reserve the nap for Hanky Panky in the 8.20. She remains well thought of despite still being a maiden after four starts and hopefully the hood will make a difference tonight. I was really disappointed with Sharp Crisp Air, her biggest market tival tonight, when runner-up at Gowran Park last time out.
