Delhi Capitals v Rajasthan Royals

MATCH OVERVIEW:

The IPL continues on Betdaq Betting Exchange as Delhi Capitals take on Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday. After the last few days for the first time in a few weeks it looks like Rajasthan Royals might be in danger of losing top spot! We have less than two weeks left in the Group stage now, and Kolkata Knight Riders are making a charge at that top spot. In fairness, both Rajasthan Royals and KKR have been fantastic this season – they deserve the top two spots and the reality is it doesn’t really matter because they both will get two chances at getting into the Final from there. KKR went top on Sunday with a massive win over Lucknow Super Giants.

Rajasthan suffered only their second defeat of this year’s IPL last week when losing to Sunrisers Hyderabad by one run. It was a very high scoring game – the Sunrisers posted 201/3 but Rajasthan should have chased it down – they needed 13 off the final over and then got that down to 6 off three balls. You should be winning from there really buy Bhuvnashwar bowled a superb over – full credit to him. Obviously it’s very competitive at the top of the IPL, but finishing in the top two will be absolutely key for Rajasthan as they are going to lose their star man Jos Buttler for the playoffs – England have recalled all the England players for the Pakistan series before the T20 World Cup.

From a Delhi point of view, they have a slim chance at sneaking into the playoffs but they aren’t out of the mix yet. Every game is a must win game for them and see what happens. They are playing a top class side here; Rajasthan have been pretty faultless this season and they still played very well in the Sunrisers loss. While KKR have the best batting in the tournament, Rajasthan definitely look like the most complete all-round side this season.

WEATHER AND PITCH WATCH:

The wicket will be interesting here. So far this has been an insanely high scoring IPL and the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi has been one of the higher scoring venues! We have had first inning scores of 266/7, 224/4 and 257/4 – all three sides batting first have won. We saw last week that the scores have started to come down at some venues as the wickets get a little worn and used – I would definitely keep an open mind in that regard at every ground at the moment to be honest. However, judging by what we have watched here I would expect another 200+ score!

RECOMMENDED BET:

Delhi had a poor start to the tournament but they have picked themselves up well and got back in with an outside chance of a playoff spot. Their batting has lead the way, but they did bat poorly at Eden Gardens last week in excellent batting conditions. It’s no surprise to see Rajasthan as the favourites here, and I feel the 1.79 still offers a little bit of value. As I said above, they have the most complete squad this season and just look to have all their boxes ticked. Their batting looks very strong and you could argue they have the best domestic bowling seam wise too. I’m not going crazy with stakes, but the 1.79 on Rajasthan is worth backing in my opinion.

The Edge Says:
Two points win Rajasthan Royals to beat Delhi Capitals at 1.79 on Betdaq Exchange

IN-RUNNING STRATEGY:

I think the trading strategy for this game will be quite straightforward. I would just confirm we have the same type of batting conditions as they three games here, and then you want to get on the side who bats first. I feel batting first will offer a nice edge – I would be a lot more confident if that was Rajasthan, and just reduce the stakes a little if it was Delhi but in a high scoring game we want to mainly look for trades on the batting side rather than the bowling side!
