CRYSTAL PALACE V TOTTENHAM

8pm Another Premier League Matchday begins with Friday Night Football on BETDAQ Betting Exchange! We kick off the weekend with league leaders Spurs (still not used to saying that!) making the short trip to face Crystal Palace. It will be a while before we fully believe that Spurs are actually in the title race, but their fans must be buzzing for the moment. It almost feels a bit like Arsenal last season in the sense that you’re just waiting for them to slip up but they keep winning. At the moment we have a fantastic looking table with three points between the Top Four. You’d still massively fancy Manchester City, but it would be nice to see them put under immense pressure.

Spurs ticked off another win on Monday Night Football with a comfortable 2-0 win in another London Derby against Fulham. They are still the best performing side in the Premier League. Their average xG created is 2.2 and at the moment they are the only side averaging an xG of over 2.0 this season – the next best is Manchester City at 1.9. They have been reasonably solid at the back, but not quite as good as the other sides towards the top of the table. Their average xG conceded is 1.37 – for example Manchester City and Arsenal are both conceding an average xG of under 1.0.

Ange Postecoglou has Spurs playing some excellent football, and the fans have definitely bought into the new process. They are fully behind the team, and he has brought the feel good factor. They come into this game as the odds on favourites, and they’ll be expected to add another win here. The away win is trading 1.85 with Crystal Palace 4.5 and the draw is 4.0 at the time of writing. Crystal Palace are sitting where you’d pretty much expect them to be in the table; they are too good to be involved in a relegation battle and too average to compete for a European spot.

They have been playing a reasonably open game this season, and they are marginally conceding more chances than they are creating. There is only 0.06 in the difference – their average xG conceded is 1.41 and their created average is 1.35. The performance level from Spurs away from home is very impressive also; it’s not like they have been playing fantastic football just at home. Crystal Palace are actually conceding marginally more chances at home compared to away!

We should see goals here, and Over 2.5 goals is odds on. That’s trading 1.78 and although it is a tempting bet, I prefer the Spurs bet at 1.85. That’s ten ticks higher than Both Teams To Score and eight ticks bigger than Over 2.5 goals. Crystal Palace are a reasonably solid side, but they are also a limited one and were put in their place by Newcastle last weekend. Their standout result is a win at Old Trafford, but United have been so poor this season. Everything is in place for a Spurs win here in my opinion; they are playing superb football and this Palace side are there for the taking. I would have Spurs shorter than both goal bets here and I’m very happy with the 1.85.

The Striker Says:
Three points win Tottenham to beat Crystal Palace at 1.85 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
