SWEDEN V SLOVAKIA

2pm All eyes might be on England v Scotland at Euro 2020 today, but we have two fantastic games before that! All matches are 0% Commission on BETDAQ Betting Exchange, and hopefully we can continue our excellent run. We start the day with Sweden taking on Slovakia in a massive game in Group E. I have to say I don’t rate Slovakia at all, but they are in a superb position after beating Poland in their opening game. They were lucky looking at the xG figures – they conceded an xG of 1.76 and created 0.49, but they took their chances and held on. Sweden had a good result in their opening game too with a 0-0 against Spain. It’s actually hard to believe the game finished 0-0, as there could have been any amount of goals! The xG was 2.89 for Spain and 1.19 Sweden. I feel the match odds market is pretty much correct here. You’d have to have Sweden as favourites, but you couldn’t have them shorter than 1.9.

This is a game where I wouldn’t be rushing to lump on either side. Slovakia have been putting in some very poor performances before the tournament and one good result against Poland, when they didn’t deserve to win based on xG too, doesn’t change that. Sweden are pretty average themselves though, and I wouldn’t want to bank on them creating a huge amount. The market is expecting a low scoring game here with under 2.5 goals trading 1.62 and I can’t disagree with that. I’d expect a very close and cagey affair without many chances. That being said, both sides gave up plenty of chances in their opening games – the opposition just didn’t take advantage. This is a game for small stakes, and I’m happy to take a chance with the draw at 3.45.

CROATIA V CZECH REPUBLIC

5pm Next we have another massive game but this time in Group D. We actually have a huge day today as all three games are fantastic. The pressure is on Croatia here after losing their opening game against England. They face a Czech Republic side who already have three points after beating Scotland, and given the third place rankings will likely see four points go through, the Czech Republic will be delighted with a draw here. Croatia are going to have to make most of the running here, and they didn’t really play well against England. Croatia aren’t the same side that got to the World Cup Final, but Czech Republic are a pretty poor side. They were very lucky to beat Scotland as they conceded an xG of 2.29. Modic has had a tough season at Real Madrid, but Croatia need him now more than ever. While I wasn’t raving about Croatia coming into this tournament, the 2.2 on them here is massive.

Croatia had a tough Nations League campaign but they did have to play the likes of France and Portugal. They just aren’t in that bracket – they did well at the World Cup, but they weren’t expected to reach the Final either. The Czech Republic might have topped their Group but it involved Scotland, Israel and Slovakia. I know Slovakia started with a win, but that’s a very low level – they lost both their Group games to Scotland too, and shouldn’t have beat them in their opening games based on xG. I think Czech Republic are there for the taking, and while Croatia aren’t the side they once were – the 2.2 is so big here I have to have a Max Bet. There is too much value on offer to not have five points – I would have Croatia odds on.

The Ultra Says:
Five points win Croatia to beat Czech Republic at 2.2 with BETDAQ Exchange..

ENGLAND V SCOTLAND

8pm There will be huge interest in this fixture from the UK, but really and truly it’s a mismatch. England should win, and the market reflects that as they are trading 1.35 at the time of writing. I know we saw a big gamble on Italy to beat Turkey in the first game of the tournament, but England are the shortest price of any side so far at the Euros. Scotland had to come through the Playoffs to get here but they didn’t have any other choice given they were in a qualifying Group with Belgium and Russia. They held their nerve to come through two penalty shootouts, but they are levels below this England side. Of course, it would mean so much for Scotland to beat England at the major tournament – this is their World Cup Final so to speak, but England should record a smooth win.

England started the tournament with a smooth 1-0 win over Croatia in what was, on paper, their most difficult game in this Group. They created an xG of 1.5 and controlled the game. In fairness to Scotland, they were unlucky to lose against Czech Republic. They created an xG of 2.29 which is a very high figure for them, but they couldn’t stop Czech Republic from scoring and England topped a qualifying Group involving the Czech Republic by six points. I would expect Scotland to line up to defend here and try get a draw, and that will make the over/under 2.5 goals market very interesting as it’s close to 2.0 either side. I think England will control the game here but it won’t be an open game as Scotland get behind the ball. After all the hype in the build-up, we could have a dull affair. Under 2.5 goals looks the value call for me at 1.96 – it allows for an England 2-0 win for example, but I can’t see England running riot or Scotland attacking too much so I’d definitely have unders as the clear favourite.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.96 with BETDAQ Exchange..
