ESPANYOL V GETAFE

8pm It’s Good Friday on Betdaq Betting Exchange and all the focus from Europe is on La Liga as Espanyol host Getafe as the only fixture! These two sides have been reasonably average this season and weren’t far away from a serious relegation battle, but they have moved away from that worry now. Espanyol were in a pretty dire position, but they’ve really turned their season around with just three losses from their last 15 La Liga games. They come into this game six points outside the relegation zone, and that’s a pretty comfortable position as the games tick down.

Back-to-back massive wins against Rayo Vallecano and Celta Vigo for Espanyol will give them a massive boost coming into this game. You have to give Espanyol credit for grinding out so many results considering that they have the joint-worst attacking figure in La Liga. They have an average xG created of 1.01, but you could also say that they are playing their best football of the season at the moment. Not only do they have the joint-worst attacking figure, they also have the second worst defensive figure. That hasn’t stopped them keeping back-to-back clean sheets though!

Getafe have been one of the most boring sides to watch in La Liga this season, but keeping games as tight as possible is working for them in fairness. They haven’t been under pressure in the relegation fight after all. They have been very limited in attack; their average xG created is only 1.25 and they haven’t been converting those chances either. They do have the third best defensive figure though which is impressive – they are conceding less than a goal a game on average this season which is impressive.

We have an exceptionally open betting heat here. Espanyol are the marginal favourites at 2.92 with Getafe 3.15 and the draw is also trading 2.92 at the time of writing. Espanyol obviously come into this game in a good place, but it is hard to commit to backing them given how poor their under-lining numbers are. It’s also hard to see Getafe coming out of their shell here, and the market is expecting a very cagey affair with Under 2.5 goals trading as short as 1.45 – not much value on offer there! It’s hard to see past a very close game here, and the draw looks the best option at 2.92.

The Ultra Says: One point win Draw at 2.92 with Betdaq Exchange.
