BARCELONA V VALENCIA

8pm Monday night football on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE comes from La Liga as Barcelona host Valencia. It’s the start of a massive week around Europe with the Champions League and Europa League Semi-Finals! To tell the truth, Barcelona will be absolutely gutted to be playing here and not Wednesday night in the Champions League. They did all the hard work to win 3-2 in Paris but couldn’t defend the lead here and crashed out after a 4-1 PSG win. It was all going so well too; they took an early lead but the game turned in the 29th minute when Araujo got a red card. PSG took control then and that was that for Barcelona.

They just have to go through the motions now until the end of the season. Any chance they had of catching Real Madrid went with another El Clasico defeat – another massive Jude Bellingham moment too – the Barca fans must be sick of his talent! With Real Madrid adding another win against Real Sociedad on Friday night before they play their Champions League Semi-Final midweek, Barcelona are heading into this game a whopping 14 points behind Real. It might pay to keep an eye on their motivation levels here with a view to their run-in; they are in no danger of dropping out of the top four so it really is just a case of going through the motions now.

Valencia will be hoping that Barcelona don’t turn up here – they will still feel that they have a chance at finishing sixth. After Real Sociedad lost to Real Madrid, Valencia are now four points behind Real Sociedad so they have a chance. Real Betis are in between but a strong finish could see European football next season for Valencia. That would be quite the turnaround considering they were in the relegation battle last season! It’s easy to say that they have a chance of closing the gap, but let’s not forget they are away to one of the best clubs in Europe here!

The market is very confident on a Barcelona win; the home side are trading 1.38 with Valencia 9.3 and the draw is 5.7 at the time of writing. I have to say I wouldn’t be rushing to back Barcelona at 1.38 given the situation, even if on paper there’s a massive gulf in class between the sides. It’s hard to make the case that they should be massively shorter, getting towards 1.3 for example, even allowing for the fact that there are a lot of red flags in the Valencia performance levels.

Valencia have done exceptionally well to be sitting where they are in the table, as I said having an outside chance at European football. They have an average xG created of 0.91 this season which is the joint-worst attacking figure in La Liga! They haven’t even massively over-performed in front of goal because their actual goals scored average is only 1.09. They have been exceptionally solid at the back though, and that’s where they are over-performing too. We know what we’re going to get from Valencia here; XI men behind the ball and a draw would be a great result for them here. I see them making life awkward for Barcelona, and Under 2.5 goals is worth backing at 2.4. That’s a nice price in what could be a low tempo game.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 2.4 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
