LA LIGA: The Ultra previews Monday’s match between RAYO VALLECANO v VALENCIA including a recommended BETDAQ bet.

RAYO VALLECANO v VALENCIA

8pm Monday night football on BETDAQ Betting Exchange comes from La Liga this week as Rayo Vallecano host Valencia. It was a cracking weekend all around Europe, and we have a huge week ahead with the second leg ties from the Quarter-Finals of the Champions League and Europa League! We have plenty to look forward to this week, and it’s nice to start the week in La Liga. It’s been a while since Rayo Vallecano won a game and they come into this game as favourites, I’m sure there will be some big opinions on their odds of 2.26.

I am in the layer camp on Rayo Vallecano. I feel that 2.26 is simply too short and it has to be laid. It’s been eleven La Liga games now without a win for Rayo Vallecano and I know their fans will say that they have had to play Atletico Madrid, Sevilla and Real Madrid in that run, but they have lost to some poor teams along the way too. They picked up a 2-2 draw last weekend against Granada, but they were pretty lucky as they only finished the game with an xG of 0.97 while conceding 2.69.

Rayo Vallecano started the season on fire, carrying their momentum from the Segunda Playoffs but they have fallen off a cliff since the turn of the year. They have been slipping down the table for a while now, and this seems a nice time to support Valencia too. They come into the game unbeaten in their last five and their away record is pretty solid this season – they actually move up the table a little on away form alone. They haven’t been creating a huge amount but what has impressed me is that they have been rock solid at the back.

Since they played Barcelona in February they have conceded xG figures of 1.91, 0.42, 1.26, 0.49 and 0.15. Steady figures and they are playing consistent football. Look, they are clearly a mid-table La Liga side and they are never going to be more than that. They have rode their luck at times, but I can see them making life very difficult for Rayo Vallecano here. I just can’t have the home side as short as 2.26 after eleven games without a win and it’s not like that Rayo Vallecano have been playing superb football either. I fully expect a closer game than the odds suggest here and the home lay stands out.

The Ultra Says:
Three points lay (liability) Rayo Vallecano to beat Valencia at 2.26 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
