CAGLIARI V INTER MILAN

7.45pm It’s a top class Monday night from Europe this week on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE with Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid in action. We kick off the evening in Serie A with Cagliari hosting Inter Milan – as I said in my preview of Inter on the opening weekend, it will be very interesting to see if they challenge for the title this season. Looking at the xG stats, only Inter lived with Napoli’s level last season and they basically just need to start taking their chances and conceding sloppy goals. They finished so many games last season with a very impressive xG figure and didn’t manage to win. Inter opened their season last weekend with a comfortable 2-0 win over Monza, scored early and had a nice xG figure – the only negative thing was they gave up a lot of the ball, and against better sides that might be an issue. They are unlikely to be put under too much pressure here as Cagliari are quite limited. They got relegated from Serie A in the 2021/22 season but bounced straight back up from Serie B last season – I wouldn’t be overly impressed with that either. They finished in fifth, a whopping 20 points behind the winners Frosinone.

Inter come into this game as the odds on favourites, and I have to say I was surprised to see them trading as big as 1.45 when I clicked into the market. Even away from home I expected them to be trading in the 1.3’s – there’s a huge gulf in class between the sides here. Inter have won six of the last seven meetings; as you’d expect really given Cagliari were in the relegation battle. On their last two visits here they have won by two goals too, so covering the 1.5 goal Handicap could be a nice option as well. That’s trading 2.21 at the moment which is appealing, if it drifted a little before kick off I would be very interested. Cagliari are a limited side in my opinion, and when they got relegated in 2021/22 they were terrible at home as well. They finished in the bottom three on the home form table, only one point off having the worst record. I can’t see past an Inter win here, and I feel we’re getting so much value at 1.45 it’s worth a Max Bet.

The Ultra Says:
Five points win Inter Milan to beat Cagliari at 1.45 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

RAYO VALLECANO V ATLETICO MADRID

8.30pm We move to La Liga to finish Monday night football as Rayo Vallecano host Atletico Madrid. After the opening two weekends of La Liga, Rayo Vallecano were one of only three sides to have won both of their games as well as Real Madrid and Valencia. Unfortunately for Atletico Madrid, they dropped points with a 0-0 away to Real Betis last weekend. Not the most disappointing result in fairness, both sides created low xG figures in a very cagey affair. Atletico will be hoping to create more here, and they come into the game as the favourites – however there are plenty of layers as they aren’t trading odds on. At the time of writing, Atletico are trading 2.04 with Rayo Vallecano 4.2 and the draw is 3.55. Rayo Vallecano have had an easy fixture list to start the season, so let’s not get carried away with their two wins. They beat Almeria and Granada; both 2-0. Granada only came back up from the Segunda this season, and Almeria were involved in the La Liga relegation battle last season too. Rayo Vallecano did manage to pick up a draw when Atletico had home advantage last season, but other than that Atletico have a good record.

They have won seven of the last eight meetings – the latter games go back a few years because Rayo Vallecano were in the Segunda, but it’s a stat to highlight nevertheless. Since 2019, only one meeting between the sides has saw Over 2.5 goals which is interesting. The market is expecting another reasonably cagey game with Under 2.5 goals trading odds on at 1.78. Atletico don’t give much away when they play away from home, and you wouldn’t be surprised at all to see a 0-0 at half-time here before the game opens up. I have to say I’d have Atletico slightly odds on so I feel the 2.04 offers some value, but I also like Under 2.5 goals at 1.78. Rayo Vallecano were solid at home last season too; their average xG conceded at home last season was only 1.29 which is impressive for a mid-table side. Atletico also had an average xG of less than 1.0 away from home last season, so the Under 2.5 goals looks the best option here in what should be a very cagey affair.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.78 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
