LA LIGA PREVIEW: Our European football tipster The Ultra previews Monday’s VALENCIA v CADIZ match with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

VALENCIA v CADIZ

8pm Just the one fixture in Europe on Monday as Valencia host Cadiz. This might not be the most glamourous of La Liga fixtures but I find it very interesting from a betting point of view. Valencia are big favourites, trading 2.06 on BETDAQ Betting Exchange at the time of writing, but they are much lower in the table than Cadiz and have been poor in general this season. I must say though that the distance in the table is flattering for Cadiz as there’s only four points between them.

Apart from a shock 4-1 win over Real Madrid, Valencia have been poor in general. Indeed, they should be lower in the table than they currently are. We all know they had a big clear-out in the summer and the jury is still out on whether that was the best thing or not. It’s a very difficult decision to change so much, but credit to them for trying. It’s so difficult when you don’t have unlimited money. The reality now is they are in a relegation battle though.

Cadiz have impressed me after coming up to La Liga. It’s hard to believe that they have managed to beat Real Madrid and Barcelona already – even though both have been below their best this season, not many teams will be able to say that come the end of the season! They arrive here on a poor run however, and although I feel Valencia are too short here, stakes have to be kept small because Cadiz have only returned xG figures of 1.16, 0.47, 0.36 and 0.87 in their last four games. They actually haven’t scored since beating Barcelona 2-1.

Even allowing for the mini dip in form from Cadiz, I still feel it’s worth laying Valencia are the odds here because 2.06 is much too short. There won’t be much between these two and Valencia have been very poor this season. Indeed, it’s been seven games since Valencia won – ironically a 4-1 win over Real Madrid. Both sides have been poor, but beaten the top sides! I expect a closer game at 2.06 reflects on Valencia.

The Ultra Says:
One point lay (liability) Valencia to beat Cadiz at 2.06 with BETDAQ Exchange.
