WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS: The Ultra previews ANDORRA v ENGLAND with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
ANDORRA V ENGLAND
5pm The World Cup Qualifiers continue on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE, and we have another exceptionally short priced favourite as England travel to take on Andorra. Most football fans will view this game as an absolute formality – you could be overly critical and say it’s fixtures like this that turn most football fans away from International football. The reality is we have to go through this qualification process for the World Cup; but England come into this game trading as short as 1.02 at the time of writing. That’s one of the shortest prices you’ll see on football before a ball was kicked. We rarely see prices like this; only in International football really.
With the Nations League Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and Final taking place over the last two International Breaks, England have been the only top name in action over the last two International Breaks, which has been odd. Thomas Tuchel couldn’t have had an easier start to his England career when the draw was made here – a Group with Albania, Latvia, Serbia and Andorra won’t see England have to get out of first gear really. Serbia will be their only half decent challenge; it will give Tuchel time to get to know the players, and perhaps the chance to try some new things too. England have had success recently at big tournament going deep, but they have been called very boring.
Tuchel will want to bring an attacking brand of football that is packed with creating chances and goals. So far, you actually wouldn’t say that’s happened. A 2-0 win over Albania and a 3-0 win against Latvia came with no dramas, but most England fans look at those games expecting four or five goals. Maybe the expectations are too high; but there is a massive gulf in class between England and the rest of the Group here. I think it’s a normal feeling for England fans to think how many goals can we score rather than will we actually win.
That’s going to be the case here anyway. With England 1.02; everyone has to look to the side markets here for some value! Andorra have been beaten in their two opening games; 1-0 at home to Latvia and then 3-0 away to Albania. They were in a D Group in the Nations League, and finished bottom of that Group with only one point against Moldova and Malta. The standard is really low for Andorra here; this is when the England forwards should be thinking about getting a hat-trick rather than just getting on the score sheet.
The market is expecting one way traffic and an easy England win with Over 2.5 goals trading 1.23 and Both Teams Not To Score at 1.27. I feel the best place to focus here is the handicap markets, which I’m sure punters will have strong opinions on because this England side hasn’t exactly blown sides away with their goal scoring power. An interesting line is the England -3.5 goals market; England are trading 1.86 to cover that line and I feel that is a shade of value. The gulf in class is huge here, and England can finally put up an impressive score line.
The Ultra Says:
One point win England -3.5 goals to beat Andorra at 1.86 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
