SATURDAY IN EUROPE: Our football tipster The Ultra previews Saturday’s games between BAYERN MUNICH v FREIBURG, CELTA VIGO v BARCELONA, RB LEIPZIG v DORTMUND and REAL MADRID v RAYO VALLECANO all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
BAYERN MUNICH V FREIBURG
2.30pm We have another fantastic Saturday in Europe with the top sides in action from the Bundesliga and La Liga. All football bets are 0% Commission on BETDAQ Betting Exchange too, so let’s get stuck in and find some value. We start the day in the Bundesliga as the Champions Bayern Munich host Freiburg. Your average football fan might see this fixture and think it’s a routine win for Bayern, especially when they see a Bayern price of 1.2 but Freiburg start the weekend sitting in third spot, and they did manage to hold Bayern to a draw in their last meeting. It’s likely Bayern will outclass them, especially with home advantage, but you have to feel that the 1.2 looks very short here. It wouldn’t be an option for your Saturday Acca in my opinion!
The main worry for Freiburg here is they tend to concede an xG of over 1 and you can usually multiple that up when you play Bayern. However, Freiburg have beaten Dortmund and drew with RB Leipzig this season already – so it’s not like they are sitting in third just because they have had an easy fixture list. They are the only side left in the Bundesliga to have not lose a game – they have rode their luck at times, but they have been very impressive overall. It is tempting to lay Bayern at 1.2 because we’re definitely going to have a closer game than those odds suggest, but the shrewd play is the handicap here in my opinion. You can get 1.76 on Freiburg +2.5 goals and that looks cracking value. It would have collected in the last six meetings between the sides, and Freiburg are in top form.
The Ultra Says:
Three points win Freiburg +2.5 goals to beat Bayern Munich at 1.76 with BETDAQ Exchange.

CELTA VIGO V BARCELONA
3.15pm We move to La Liga in the afternoon as Celta Vigo host the struggling Barcelona. We’ve already had plenty of drama at Barcelona this season, and we’re going to have much more. At the moment, they want Xavi to replace Ronald Koeman but his club Al Sadd are refusing to let him go without a payoff. From their point of view, it’s good business and why wouldn’t they do it. From a Barcelona point of view, they had to payoff Koeman and now have another headache here. Add it to the list of financial woes! Barcelona continue to get poor results, they were held to a 1-1 draw with Alaves last weekend, and they were lucky to win against Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League midweek. At the moment, it feels like every side has a chance against them. They have lost the fear of playing Barcelona, just like Manchester United when Sir Alex Ferguson left.
Although the board are looking for scapegoats, it’s their own fault they couldn’t keep Messi. They chose to sack Koeman after the 1-0 loss to Rayo Vallecano, but they actually played very well – creating an xG of 3.14 and were very unlucky to not score. Their two performances since suggest to me that the players weren’t unhappy with the manager, but granted they will fully respect a club legend in Xavi. Celta Vigo sit just two points outside the relegation zone, but it’s a sign of how Barcelona have fallen that they are trading as big as 2.18. Usually this would be a routine win when Messi was here, given the way Barcelona have played this season it’s hard to have any confidence in them getting the job done. Celta Vigo have played better than their position in the table suggests, and for the moment it is paying to be against Barcelona, so I’m happy to have a small lay at 2.18.
The Ultra Says:
One point lay (liability) Barcelona to beat Celta Vigo at 2.18 with BETDAQ Exchange.

RB LEIPZIG V DORTMUND
5.30pm We move back to the Bundesliga for a massive clash on Saturday evening as RB Leipzig host Dortmund! Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all in action today, but this is the highlight fixture. This is an intriguing clash, as it will give us a good idea of where RB Leipzig stand this season. Leipzig had a very poor start to the season, which is understandable given they allowed themselves to be raided by Bayern Munich during the summer, however they have turned things around and they have put a good run of results, and performances, together. They managed a 2-2 draw midweek against PSG in the Champions League, but Dortmund will be a very good test for them. Dortmund have been impressive this season, and are Bayern’s main challenger for the title.
Although I said above this will be an interesting game to see where RB Leipzig are at, this is also a good game to see where Dortmund are at. Dortmund have been good in the Bundesliga, but they were taken to school by Ajax in the Champions League twice recently which is a bit of a red flag. Of course, it all comes down to the odds here and I have to lay RB Leipzig at 2.04 here as I fully expect the game to be closer than those odds suggest. I know Leipzig have been creating a lot of chances recently, and perhaps the goals market is the shrewd play here between two attacking teams, but Dortmund have been rock solid and the 2.04 is simply too short on Leipzig in what should be a close game.
The Ultra Says:
Two points lay (liability) RB Leipzig to beat Dortmund at 2.04 with BETDAQ Exchange.

REAL MADRID V RAYO VALLECANO
8pm We move back to La Liga to finish a superb Saturday as Real Madrid host Rayo Vallecano. Despite the troubles for Barcelona this season, it hasn’t been one way traffic at the top of the table for Real Madrid. I felt when Barcelona dropped away the title would be going to Madrid, Real or Atletico, however both haven’t been at their best this season. They have both beaten Barcelona already this season, but they have dropped points against the smaller sides. However, Real are in a stronger position than Atletico and they are still in the driving seat to take the title. They start the weekend one point behind Real Sociedad with a game in hand, and we know Real Sociedad fell away last season after a quick start. Their main danger could actually be Sevilla who are level on points with Real and have a game in hand on Sociedad too. Although they have home advantage here, Rayo Vallecano have been fantastic this season and they started the weekend in the top six.
To go from finishing 6th in Segunda to 6th in La Liga is incredible, even after only 12 games! Obviously there in a gulf in class here, but Rayo Vallecano will have the confidence to “have a go” after their good start to the season and their recent 1-0 win over Barcelona. They didn’t play great in that game and deserve to win, but they won’t care – they beat Barca! I expect a reasonably close game here because Real have been giving away a few goals recently and they haven’t been scoring that many. I know they have been getting the job done, but it hasn’t been pretty and this could be a real grind. I would have them bigger than 1.4, so from a value point of view they are worth a small lay.
The Ultra Says:
One point lay (liability) Real Madrid to beat Rayo Vallecano at 1.4 with BETDAQ Exchange.
