SATURDAY PREVIEW: The Ultra previews Saturday’s matches between DORTMUND v WERDER BREMEN, UNION BERLIN v RB LEIPZIG and CELTA VIGO v REAL MADRID all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

DORTMUND V WERDER BREMEN

2.30pm The European season is truly back in full flow now as La Liga and Serie A returned last week, and we have another superb Saturday on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. I’m happy to focus on the Bundesliga and La Liga today, and we have three very interesting markets to look at. As always, we have a busy afternoon in the Bundesliga with Dortmund v Werder Bremen being the highlight of the 2-30pm fixtures. Dortmund have started the season with two wins from their two games to keep up with Bayern Munich – but it looks like they have a very difficult task this season! Bayern have looked on a completely different level to the rest of the Bundesliga in only two games, and when you consider the hold they have on the trophy for so long and the fact Haaland is gone from Dortmund it’s hard to see where the competition comes from. Bayern could legit win the Bundesliga for 20 years in a row – incredible. To keep up with Bayern, Dortmund simply can’t afford to lose games like this. Werder Bremen came back up to the Bundesliga and their aim this season will just be staying in the league. They would have been pleased with their opening two draws, and they will surely view this game as a bonus if they pick up any points.

Both sides had entertaining games last weekend with four goals in both their fixtures. Werder Bremen have actually had two 2-2 draws, and when you look at them you see a lot of action this season. That’s probably a bad thing for them though as they will concede a lot of goals – they’ll be under pressure in a relegation fight at some stage in my opinion. The market is fully expecting a lot of goals here with Over 2.5 goals trading as short as 1.4 at the time of writing. Considering Dortmund are also trading 1.4, I much prefer the Dortmund option to goals. What I would say about Dortmund this season is that they have been a little bit flattered by their results – they were a little lucky to score three against Freiburg but then they could have scored more against Bayer Leverkusen. They started both games with questions marks however and got the job done – there will plenty of layers before kick off! There is a gulf in class between the sides here though, and it’s hard to see past Dortmund at 1.4. Werder Bremen aren’t good enough at the back to control Dortmund here, and the 1.4 is a stand out bet.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Dortmund to beat Werder Bremen at 1.4 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

UNION BERLIN V RB LEIPZIG

5.30pm We stay in the Bundesliga next as Union Berlin host RB Leipzig. We have landed two nice bets in Union Berlin games to start the season, and hopefully we can make it three from three here. I felt the market was all wrong in their fixture against Mainz last weekend, and it was nice to see them grind out a 0-0 draw after laying Mainz. RB Leipzig won’t be happy with their start to the season however – they’ve been held to two draws against Stuttgart and Koln. They would have said they were unlucky to draw away to Stuttgart on the opening weekend but they actually conceded a higher xG to Koln then they created last weekend, and they had home advantage that time too. They started that fixture pretty heavy favourites, and after a very slow start last season it looks like they’ll be on the backfoot this season again. Their aim will be top four again no doubt; it’s just a shame they sold their best players when they were challenging Bayern Munich and also playing superb football in the Champions League. They can forget about a title challenge now. Union Berlin only finished one point behind RB Leipzig last season, and their aim will be to turn that around and sneak into that fourth position. While they aren’t close to the likes of Bayern Munich and Dortmund, they have become a top class Bundesliga side and it will be interesting to see where they can finish this season. I wouldn’t be surprised if they got into that top four.

Looking at the Union Berlin xG figures, this is going to be a very tough game for RB Leipzig. They did perform better away from home compare to their home game this season, but the 2.14 does feel very short here. Union Berlin are rock solid at the back – I know they have played lower quality opposition but they have only conceded xG figures of 0.34 and 0.53 in their opening two games. Based on what we’ve seen from RB Leipzig over the past season, I wouldn’t definitely have them a bigger price to win here. I fully expect a closer game than the odds suggest here, and from a value point of view I’m very happy to lay RB Leipzig at the odds. It’s clear to me that there isn’t much between the sides here, Union Berlin are a top class side with home advantage – they look very solid at the back and have good home form – I don’t see why RB Leipzig are as short as 2.14 here. Hopefully we can make it three from three on Union Berlin games!

The Ultra Says:
Three points lay (liability) RB Leipzig to beat Union Berlin at 2.14 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

CELTA VIGO V REAL MADRID

9pm We move over to Spain to finish Saturday as the La Liga Champions Real Madrid are in action against Celta Vigo. Real Madrid had to work hard for their 2-1 win on the opening weekend away to Almeria, but they bossed the game and could have scored more. They created an xG figure of 3.32 and they look to have started the season with a bang. After Barcelona and Altetico Madrid started so slowly last season; it really highlights the importance of a fast start. I think Real Madrid have experienced that now – even look at Liverpool in the Premier League – giving away four points to Manchester City is a huge total and it’s only been two games. Real fans would have been very happy to see Barcelona drop points at home on the opening weekend too, and to be honest it’s hard to see past Real for the title again this season. They just look a lot more settled than Barcelona and Atletico. I have to say when I clicked into the market for this fixture I was very surprised to see Real trading as big as 1.74. I expected them to be closer to 1.6, and it’s very hard to see past the Real win as my best bet here.

That price looks exceptional value. Celta Vigo are your classic mid-table La Liga side, and there’s a huge gulf in class between the sides here. Celta started their season with a 2-2 draw at home to Espanyol and they were lucky to get a point too because they only created an xG figure of 0.41. Given that Espanyol finished down in 14th last season, I would be worried with the Celta performance. I know there wasn’t much between the sides last season in the end – only four points but 11th always feels much better than 14th as it’s so close to mid-table. Real have had an extra competitive game too from a fitness point of view, winning the Super Cup against Eintracht Frankfurt, and their performance against Almeria last weekend was impressive too. That xG figure of 3.32 really does catch the eye – they could have scored four goals and started the season with a bang. I’m really confident on the Real win here to be honest, and I feel the 1.74 offers so much value it’s worth a Max Bet. Celta Vigo are there for the taking, and hopefully we can make it two from two on Max Bets this season.

The Ultra Says:
Five points win Real Madrid to beat Celta Vigo at 1.74 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
