SATURDAY PREVIEW: The Ultra previews Saturday’s matches between UNION BERLIN v BAYERN MUNICH, REAL MADRID v REAL BETIS, AC MILAN v INTER MILAN and SEVILLA v BARCELONA all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

UNION BERLIN V BAYERN MUNICH

2.30pm What a Saturday in Europe! This is a proper exciting day on BETDAQ Betting Exchange with the top clubs in action from the Bundesliga, Serie A and La Liga! We have Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, AC Milan v Inter Milan and Barcelona all in action, and there’s bound to be drama with this line-up. We start the day in the Bundesliga with Union Berlin hosting Bayern Munich. Although the Germany Champions with be a popular selection for any Acca this afternoon, I actually feel the 1.4 is a little short on them here. Long-term readers will know what a fan I am of Union Berlin and we landed a very nice Max Bet on them last weekend at 2.4. There wasn’t much worry at all as they ran out 6-1 winners away to Schalke. They definitely got a little lucky with the goals they scored because their xG figure was quite low, but they were deadly in front of goal when they got a chance. They have been a top side for a while now, and they will definitely give Bayern Munich a good game here. Look let’s be honest, Bayern Munich are head and shoulders above everyone in the Bundesliga at the moment, but there are some sides that you just wouldn’t assume Bayern will win and Union are one of those sides.

Bayern and Union started the weekend sitting joint top of the Bundesliga with ten points from their four games. Bayern had their first setback last weekend, having to settle for a 1-1 draw at home to Gladbach. They were very unlucky as they absolutely bossed the game and finished with an xG of 3.23 in a game they should have won. From a Bayern point of view, I wouldn’t be worried at all about the result – the performance was still top class. There’s no doubt that this will be a very tough game for Union, but I’m happy to have a small lay on Bayern at the odds. I just feel we’ll definitely see a closer game than odds of 1.4 suggest, and Union have managed to get results in the past. Bayern have won the last two meetings 4-0 and 5-2, but prior to that Union have managed two 1-1 draws. It’s always going to be a very tough ask stopping Bayern from winning so I’m happy to keep stakes small here, but Bayern just shouldn’t be as short as 1.4 away to Union in my opinion.

The Ultra Says:
One point lay (liability) Bayern Munich to beat Union Berlin at 1.4 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

REAL MADRID V REAL BETIS

3.15pm Next we move to La Liga as Real Madrid host Real Betis. You might think that this is an unusual kick off time for a fixture like this – we see this kick off time a lot in La Liga when sides are in action midweek in the Champions League. That’s your reminder that the Champions League starts on Tuesday – very exciting! This should be a cracker though, and both sides have started the season in great form with three wins from three games. They are the only sides to have won their opening three games, and someone’s 0 has got to go as they say in boxing. Real Madrid were a little lucky to keep their winning run going with a 3-1 win away to Espanyol last weekend – they conceded an xG figure of 1.94 and definitely gave away a few more chances than you would like. That being said they look superb going forward, and I don’t see why they wouldn’t make a lot of La Liga games open this season because they will simply just out score most sides. They have created xG figures of 3.32, 3.39 and 2.16. This is actually their first home game of the season, so we could actually see some improvement too. Real Betis haven’t been short creating chances either – they have finished their three games with xG figures of 3.81, 2.31 and 0.38. Clearly they were a little lucky to beat Osasuna 1-0 last weekend – they actually conceded an xG of close to three times what they created but they grinded out a win and that deserves credit too.

Everything points to an entertaining game here to be honest, and it’s no surprise that Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.52. I feel if you like the goals option here, it’s slightly better value to opt for Both Teams To Score at 1.73 as Betis have definitely created enough this season to suggest that they can score at some stage, and also Real have conceded chances too. Real have conceded in every game so far this season, and I think if Over 2.5 goals win then it will be because we see goals at either end. Betis do have a manager who can try to close up shop, so have that in the back of your mind, but I expect a reasonably open game here. The question for me here is Real Madrid at 1.46 or Both Teams To Score at 1.73, and I’m going to opt for Both Teams To Score at the odds. The under-lining numbers just add up here for a very entertaining game and as I said above, I don’t see Real sitting back much this season. I couldn’t put anyone off the Real win, or indeed including it in an Acca this weekend, but it’s Both Teams To Score for me.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Both Teams To Score at 1.73 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

AC MILAN V INTER MILAN

5pm Next we move over to Italy for the biggest possible clash in Serie A! It’s the Milan Derby as AC Milan take their turn as the “home” side against Inter Milan. We have a very open market for this clash, and we’re all set for a fascinating affair. It was a very interesting midweek round of fixtures – AC Milan dropped points away to Sassuolo which was very disappointing. Not only the 0-0 draw but they actually didn’t create much either – they finished the game with an xG of only 0.52 and conceded nearly double that. Inter Milan recorded a very smooth win over Cremonese but that was fully expected given how weak they look. After Inter Milan lost to Lazio last weekend, that has left Jose Mourinho’s Roma top of the table. Everyone has dropped points already – when I look at Serie A at the moment I just see plenty of drama and plenty of fun for the fans too. I don’t see Roma actually challenging for the title, but it’s great to have Mourinho in the mix again – he is box office. Despite losing 3-1 to Lazio, Inter Milan played well. They finished with an xG of 1.60 and should have made the game closer. Outside of that game they have finished with xG figures of 1.96, 2.56 and 2.36. Very solid and consistent figures.

That performance against Sassuolo came as surprise on Tuesday night because AC Milan had been performing very well up until that. They had created xG figures of 2.53, 1.51 and 2.43 and were odds on favourites away to Sassuolo. With AC Milan finally winning the title back last season after so long, and that makes this fixture all the more important. Inter Milan will see this as a chance to stamp their authority on the title race, but regardless of the result I can see the title race going all the way this season. Although there’s this view of the “classic Italian cagey games” between the top sides, we do tend to see goals between these two. Over 2.5 goals has won in six of the last eight clashes, and both teams have scored in five of the last six meetings too. Both sides have already had their setbacks this season, but they have both created a lot of chances too – I think Over 2.5 goals looks the value here at 1.79 in what should be an entertaining game. This is always a classic fixture and this should be no different.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.79 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

SEVILLA V BARCELONA

8pm We move to back to La Liga to finish the day as Sevilla host Barcelona. What a superb fixture to finish the day, and this is a cracker to enjoy on the couch on a Saturday evening too! Sevilla come into the game under immense pressure, even so early in the season. They have only managed one point from their first three games, and they haven’t really had a tough fixture list either. They were unlucky not to beat Real Valladolid with home advantage – they had to settle for a 1-1 draw and finished the game with an xG of 2.28 but their two away performances have been very average. They lost 2-1 to Osasuna, and conceded a bigger xG figure than they created, and then lost 2-1 to Almeria last weekend which was very disappointing. They conceded an xG figure of 2.44 too. They obviously have home advantage here and that will be a help of course, but it’s hard to see how they deal with Barcelona. Sevilla have clearly started the season in poor form, and I was surprised to see Barcelona trading as big as 1.85. I know they have had a lot of issues off the pitch this summer, indeed they still do, but on the pitch you can’t really fault them. I know they let a lot of favourite backers down on the opening weekend when failing to beat Rayo Vallecano, but they finished the game with an xG of 2.18 – they just couldn’t find the net and had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Since then they have been impressive. They hammered Real Sociedad 4-1 away from home and then hammered Rea Valladolid at home 4-0. Their xG figures have been 2.18, 2.51 and 3.68. They aren’t the “Barcelona of old” but those figures and score lines are! Usually we see tense and cagey games between these two – we’ve only seen Over 2.5 goals win once in the last seven La Liga meetings, however I would worry about Sevilla here. They are obviously not at their best, and they must be low on confidence too. They really need to turn things around quickly because they could get too far behind in the Champions League race – even so early in the season – but I can only see a one way traffic win for Barcelona here. I know Barcelona have a lot of issues off the pitch at the moment with money, so they won’t quite be a Max Bet for me because everything isn’t perfect at the club, but they are a very confident bet at 1.85. Sevilla are there for the taking, and Barcelona look in a superb place at the moment after the last two performances.

The Ultra Says:
Four points win Barcelona to beat Sevilla at 1.85 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
