BARCELONA V GETAFE

3.15pm It’s another cracking Saturday from Europe on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE with action from La Liga and the Bundesliga. Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are both in action in La Liga, but all eyes will be on Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga after their recent run! We start in La Liga with Barcelona hosting Getafe. Barcelona drew 1-1 with Napoli midweek in the Champions League, and although they took a 1-0 lead they won’t be unhappy with that result given the second leg is back in Spain. They don’t play the second leg until the week of the Cheltenham Festival which is the 12th of March, but given the situation in La Liga they will probably already have one eye on it. No one is going to be risking carrying a niggle in domestic games given they are already eight points behind Real Madrid. Perhaps the door is ever so slightly open after Real Madrid dropped points last weekend, but I just can’t see that gap being closed, especially considering the quality football Real Madrid have been playing. They can probably afford to focus on the Champions League for a while too. Barcelona will be fully expected to win here with home advantage, but Getafe are having a better-than-usual season sitting in mid-table.

Barcelona are trading 1.43 with Getafe 8.2 and the draw is 5.3 at the time of writing. Barcelona will be disappointed with how far back they are this season; there is nothing between themselves and Real Madrid from an attacking point of view. The major difference though has been Barcelona have been very sloppy at the back. They’ve only managed to keep one clean sheet from their last ten La Liga games – that’s not good enough if you want to compete for the title. Plus, they have been conceding goals for fun at times – three to Granada here recently, Villarreal bagged five and Girona four; all with Barcelona at home too. These two played out Barcelona’s only 0-0 draw of the season way back on the opening weekend; since then it’s been very entertaining watching Barcelona games! I wouldn’t say that Getafe have been overly impressive going forward this season, but Barcelona have suggested that they will give Getafe chances here. Both Teams To Score is worth a small bet at 1.93 in what should be another open Barcelona game.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Both Teams To Score at 1.93 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

BAYERN MUNICH V RB LEIPZIG

5.30pm We move over to the Bundesliga next for the highlight of the weekend in Europe as Bayern Munich host RB Leipzig. What a run it’s been for Bayern recently, it almost feels like their season has fallen apart within a week although that’s being very dramatic. Bayer Leverkusen schooled them 3-0 in a top of the table clash, then they lost 1-0 to Lazio in the Champions League and then followed that up with a 3-2 loss to Bochum. That loss set the alarm bells ringing, now Bayern are looking for a new manager but Thomas Tuchel is staying until the end of the season. While obviously Bayern have taken the headlines for all the wrong reasons recently, all is not lost. They are only one goal down against Lazio and have the second leg here – it’s highly likely that they will turn that around and progress to the Champions League Quarter-Finals. The major negative is it already looks like the Bundesliga title is gone, and their long run at the top is over. In classic Bundesliga fashion, it looks like Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso is Bayern’s first choice for their next manager. It’s a shame that the rest of the Bundesliga are basically feeder clubs for Bayern! RB Leipzig went close in the title race a few seasons ago, had an excellent run in the Champions League as well, and their squad was picked apart by Bayern. I suppose money talks.

Despite the terrible run and all the drama around the club at the moment, Bayern come into this game as the odds on favourites. That’s to be expected with home advantage really. Bayern are 1.79 with RB Leipzig 4.6 and the draw is 4.5 at the time of writing. If you look at the bare figures, Bayern have been hard to fault. They’ve actually created more chances than Leverkusen this season – the big difference is that Leverkusen have been a lot more solid at the back – they’ve conceded close to half of the goals Bayern have. RB Leipzig have the third best attacking figures behind the top two, but they have come back from the winter break on the backfoot. They’ve only managed two wins from their six Bundesliga games, and they conceded five goals away to Stuttgart too. I would definitely lean towards Bayern at 1.79 here, however this game absolutely screams goals. Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.47, while Both Teams To Score is 1.49. I feel the way the sides have played this season, the BTTS bet is the better option in what should be a very entertaining game.

The Ultra Says:
Four points win Both Teams To Score at 1.49 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

ALMERIA V ATLETICO MADRID

8pm We move back to La Liga to finish a fantastic Saturday as Almeria host Atletico Madrid. Almeria sit rock bottom of La Liga and they are still waiting for their first win of the season – they’ve only managed eight points from 25 games and they are already nailed on to get relegated. That doesn’t mean that their games haven’t been entertaining though! They managed to score twice in a 3-2 loss to Real Madrid, and we saw the same happen against Barcelona too. When these sides met in December, Atletico won 2-1 so while Atletico are expected to win here we might see some drama at both ends of the pitch. Atletico Madrid are the odds on favourites at 1.79 with Almeria 4.9 and the draw is 4.1 at the time of writing. A quick glance at the La Liga table would make anyone feel that the 1.79 is too big on Atletico here, but there are plenty of reasons for that price. This isn’t just a case of an easy win for Atletico because Almeria are sitting rock bottom. Believe it or not, Almeria are actually played good football at home. Their average xG created is 1.6 and their average conceded is 1.36. Quite respectable figures; they just haven’t got the results.

Obviously despite those figures, it is hard to trust Almeria. You’d have gone broke supporting them in the market all season at this stage! Atletico have had their issues away from home too; they are marginally conceding more chances than they are creating away from home this season. In general they have been playing a very open game, and although they should more-than-likely outclass Almeria I’m not rushing to take the 1.79. Atletico have been fairly open at the back on the road, and while Almeria haven’t had much luck getting results here we can see that they are clearly creating chances. I feel we’ll see some goals here, and we have two options – Over 2.5 goals at 1.83 or Both Teams To Score a couple of ticks under that at 1.78. Almeria have been involved in some high scoring games this season so I would lean towards the Over 2.5 goals bet at five ticks bigger. I couldn’t put anyone off either bet however, and we could finish the day with a goal fest in my opinion!

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.83 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
