MANCHESTER UNITED V COPENHAGEN

8pm The Champions League returns on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE on Tuesday! We have a very interesting night ahead with Manchester United and Arsenal both in action. Manchester United are in a desperate situation in Group A after losing their opening two games. They sit bottom of the Group and have a lot of work to do; they would have been expected to lose away to Bayern Munich but the loss at home to Galatasaray was a big shock. On paper, they should beat Copenhagen here but it’s very hard to trust them at the moment. They made hard work of beating Sheffield United at the weekend in the Premier League – they didn’t create a huge amount compared to Sheffield United’ the xG figures ended 1.61 to 1.48. Sheffield United are the worst performing side in the Premier League this season looking at their performance levels, and although this is another game that United should win, it’s hard to back them as such long odds on. United are trading as short as 1.38 at the time of writing – only one side are shorter to win on Tuesday and that’s Inter Milan at home to Red Bull Salzburg.

If you fancy another shock here like Galatasaray, Copenhagen are trading 9.8 and the draw is 5.6. Obviously there’s a huge gulf in class between the sides here; Copenhagen play their domestic football at such a low level compared to the Premier League but they top the table at the moment and will have confidence from that. They only lost by one goal when they had home advantage against Bayern Munich, and things will be tough away from home but I just don’t fancy supporting United at the moment. They are conceding an average xG of 1.44 in the Premier League this season which is reasonably high – they have been struggling to score goals too so it’s hard to see them covering a big handicap either. United have conceded so many sloppy goals this season I feel Copenhagen can score at some point. Both Teams To Score is trading 2.01 and that looks the best option in my opinion. The market is expecting goals, mainly from United, but I much prefer Both Teams To Score at slightly odds against than Over 2.5 goals at 1.63.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Both Teams To Score at 2.01 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

SEVILLA V ARSENAL

8pm Next we move to Group B as Sevilla host Arsenal. After Arsenal lost away from home to Lens, this Group has a slightly more open look to it. I have to say, I expected Arsenal to win every game in this Group and be resting players by the fifth game. They’ll have to work harder than expected, but on paper they are levels above everyone else in this Group. Sevilla have been struggling to get results in La Liga again this season, but they did manage to hold Real Madrid to a 1-1 draw here at the weekend. That left them with nine points from their nine games which is a poor return; it looks like Sevilla won’t be breaking back into the top four in La Liga anytime soon, but they have been playing better football than their results. They had a horrible domestic season last season, I felt their Europa League win and getting back into the Champions League would just see them bounce back into the top four but that hasn’t been the case. Arsenal were also involved in a draw at the weekend; they went 2-0 down at Chelsea but pulled it back to 2-2. While I expected Arsenal to fly through this Group, I was surprised to see them trading as short as 1.86 when I clicked into the market. Sevilla are trading 4.6 with the draw 4.0.

As I mentioned in my preview of the Sevilla v Real Madrid game at the weekend, Sevilla are playing much better than their results this season. Their average xG created this season is 1.81 which is the third best figure in La Liga behind Real Madrid and Barcelona. They have been reasonably solid at the back too. Not as solid as Arsenal though who are averaging an xG of under 1.0 – the only other side to do that in the Premier League is Manchester City. What we have here is two sides playing nice football this season, and while it’s clear that Arsenal have the better quality in their squad and they have been much better at getting the job done this season results wise, I still feel the 1.86 is a little short on Arsenal. Sevilla not getting the results is a major worry, but their under-lining numbers are impressive and based on that I expect a closer game than the odds suggest. I’m happy with a lay of Arsenal at 1.86 but I’m also keen to keep stakes reasonably limited.

The Ultra Says:
Two points lay (liability) Arsenal to beat Sevilla at 1.86 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
