PSV V ARSENAL

5.45pm It’s the final matchday of the Champions League on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE this week, and we have some crunch games ahead. All eyes will be on Manchester United v Bayern Munich later in the night, but we kick off Tuesday night with PSV hosting Arsenal in the early kick off. Arsenal are already certain of top spot in Group B so they can go into this game fully relaxed. It also gives Arteta a chance to have a look at some of the fringe players – Arsenal suffered a big blow in the Premier League title race at the weekend losing 1-0 away to Aston Villa. They didn’t play badly, and definitely didn’t deserve to lose but that’s the way things go! That meant Arsenal were knocked off top spot, and every point is massively important given they have a lead over Manchester City again. PSV also have the luxury of being certain of the next round thanks to their head-to-head record with Lens who are three points behind them. It would really highlight Sevilla’s downfall if they finished bottom of this Group; they only have two points at the moment – Lens just need a result against them and they have home advantage too.

As you would expect given the circumstances, we have a very open market here. A weaker Arsenal XI is expected, and PSV are the favourites. The home win is 2.52 with Arsenal 2.82 and the draw is 3.9 at the time of writing. Given a very hectic fixture list coming up to the Christmas period, it would be a big surprise of Arteta didn’t rest most of his main XI here; it would actually be a silly decision not to really. The December UK schedule is jam packed. PSV might name a stronger XI, and I don’t disagree with the market having them as the favourites. This is definitely a game for small stakes without seeing the team news, and that’s a trading angle because the market will move on the team news here; fastest fingers first! PSV have been superb in the Eredivisie this season; they are absolutely bossing it ten points clear and their xG figures are fantastic too. Arsenal managed to hammer them 4-0 earlier in the Group however, and I think we’ll have an open game here. Neither side has to sit back given the situation, and Over 2.5 goals is worth a small investment at 1.66. This should be an end-to-end game.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.66 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

MANCHESTER UNITED V BAYERN MUNICH

8pm We move to Group A for a blockbuster as Manchester United host Bayern Munich. It’s hard to know what kind of atmosphere to expect here; United need to win and have to rely on a result going their way in the Copenhagen v Galatasaray game too. Usually Old Trafford would be rocking in a situation like this, but the United fans just seem fed up with the players at this stage. There are a section who will blame the manager of course, but let’s be honest – we’ve seen this same old story from these players at United time and time again. They just don’t make the right effort and want the manager out; a new manager comes in and they have an excellent start before “losing the dressing room” again. Maybe it’s time Manchester United backed a manager instead of the players; because what they’ve been doing for the last few years in that regard just hasn’t worked. Another embarrassing 3-0 loss here to Bournemouth at the weekend puts United in a terrible position coming into this game really. However, as we saw with their 2-1 win over Chelsea – these players can turn up for the big games – I suppose that is the annoying part for United fans. The major positive from a United point of view here is Bayern Munich don’t need a result; this is effectively a meaningless game for them as they are certain of top spot. If Bayern needed a result, they would get one given how many levels they are above United these days.

Despite Bayern not needing a result, they still come into the game as the favourites in a very open market. It’s a sign of how bad United are these days! Bayern Munich are 2.56 with Manchester United 2.7 and the draw is 4.1. Bayern have been certain of top spot for a while now, and they played out a 0-0 draw at home to Copenhagen in their last Champions League game. They fielded a pretty strong side, but their xG figure wasn’t massive – a draw was probably a fair result. It will be interesting to see what XI they name here. They don’t play until Sunday, and then after playing on Wednesday the 20th the Bundesliga goes on their winter break so they don’t really need to worry about a hectic schedule like the UK teams this week. I would recommend Bayern at 2.56 – I feel they’ll name a strong XI here and they are much better than this poor United side. However, United need to win and Bayern have nothing to play for, that absolutely screams an open game to me. Bayern won’t sit back, and United can’t – I really expect goals here and Over 2.5 goals looks massive at 1.58. I feel it’s worth a Max Bet at the odds.

The Ultra Says:
Five points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.58 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
