CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: Our European football tipster The Ultra previews Wednesday’s Champions League games betweenBAYERN MUNICH V PSG and FC PORTO V CHELSEA both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

BAYERN MUNICH V PSG

8pm Another superb night in the Champions League! We kick off Wednesday night with a repeat of the 2019/20 final as Bayern Munich take on PSG! This will have a very different feel to it being over two legs, but you feel there won’t be too much cagey football with these two. Bayern and PSG only know one way of playing and that is to attack! We should have a brilliant game of football, but I can’t get away from Bayern here at 2.0. For me they should be odds on and close to 1.8. I respect PSG are a good side, but Bayern are top class and it’s not often we get to back them at prices like this.

We landed a nice bet on Bayern at the weekend on BETDAQ Betting Exchange at close to 2.5 as they went seven points clear at the top of the Bundesliga with a 1-0 win over RB Leipzig. I fully take on board they have a few injury worries at the moment and that’s why we are getting odds like 2.0, but PSG haven’t been playing at the same level this season. They are still three points behind Lille in Ligue 1, and they are in serious danger of not lifting the title. Considering what price they start every season at, that would be a huge upset and also considering the standard of play there it’s very disappointing they haven’t got the title won yet – they usually do! They lost 1-0 to Lille at the weekend, and their domestic xG figures haven’t been good recently. Bayern come into the game in great form and haven’t been banging in goals for fun recently – as I said I’d have Bayern odds on here and they have to be a Max Bet at 2.0 which looks massive.

FC PORTO V CHELSEA

8pm This is another game where I am confident on the result. I might not be as confident as Bayern winning, but I really like Chelsea to win here at 1.81. It’s probably unfair to say that Porto were lucky to reach this stage because they played some quality football against Juve, but Juve created an xG of 3.53 and were unlucky not to score more to get through in the last round. Porto are a good side however, and Chelsea will have to bring their A-game. They will certainly have to be better than they were at the weekend when they lost 5-2 to West Brom. I’m not sure where that result came from, but at least the xG figures say Chelsea didn’t play that badly – it was just one of those games. They have been excellent since sacking Frank Lampard, and they can get back to winning ways here.

Chelsea really impressed me when bossed Atletico Madrid twice – they completely controlled both legs and Atletico are having a great season in La Liga too. Admittedly they are coming into pressure now, but Chelsea never gave them a chance. Porto on the other hand give away plenty of chances, and Chelsea can take full advantage. Porto would like to play an open game looking at their style, but I believe Chelsea will control the game here and Porto won’t see much of the ball. Chelsea have improved immensely at the back since sacking Lampard, and while West Brom scored five times at the weekend, their xG was just 1.52 so it’s not like they were giving away clear cut chances. That was a blip in my view and I’m happy to be against Porto here. I wouldn’t put anyone off the Bayern and Chelsea double with BETDAQ Mutliples either.
