WEDNESDAY CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: The Ultra previews NAPOLI v EINTRACHT FRANKFURT and REAL MADRID v LIVERPOOL both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

NAPOLI V EINTRACHT FRANKFURT

8pm The Champions League Last 16 comes to an end on Wednesday on BETDAQ Betting Exchange, and we have two sides who already have one foot in the Quarter-Finals here! We’d have to see some amazing scenes to see Napoli and Real Madrid not get through, but we have two interesting markets nonetheless. Everyone will no doubt want to watch Liverpool v Real Madrid tonight after the first leg with so many goals, but we kick off the evening with Napoli hosting Eintracht Frankfurt. Napoli are having a wonderful season in Serie A, they currently have an 18 point lead again after beating Atalanta at the weekend with Inter Milan losing again. With such a big lead, they can relax and focus on the Champions League now! They go into this second leg in a superb position too – they have home advantage here and won the first leg 2-0. The only negative thing to say about Napoli at the moment is they probably should have scored more in the first leg – they finished the game with an xG of 2.83. I feel they are meeting Eintracht Frankfurt at a good time too – they have only managed one win in their last six in all competitions, and to be honest it looked very one sided in the first leg. Eintracht Frankfurt only managed to create an xG of 0.33.

If Eintracht Frankfurt can only manage an xG of 0.33 with home advantage, it’s hard to see them improving on that here, especially because Napoli have been so good at home this season in Serie A. They’ve managed to get 34 points from their 13 home games, and I can’t see past a home win here. The only worry is that Napoli don’t need to win given they are two goals ahead, and they’ll want as little drama as possible here really. They still come into the game as the odds on favourites – the home win is trading 1.57 at the time of writing. With Eintracht Frankfurt having to chase the game, that will surely leave gaps at the back for Napoli to take advantage of. I’m going to keep stakes reasonably small here because you have to consider Napoli will want the game to be as boring as possible really, but they have been creating so many chances this season I feel they can cover the Handicap here. They are trading 2.5 -1.5 goals which is a very appealing price when you watched the first leg and saw the gulf in class between the sides! If Napoli actually needed to win I’d have a bigger stake, but two points feels right given the situation.

The Ultra Says:
Two points Napoli -1.5 goals to beat Eintracht Frankfurt at 2.5 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

REAL MADRID V LIVERPOOL

8pm We finish the Last 16 with the blockbuster tie of the round as Real Madrid and Liverpool clash again. Real went a long way to putting this tie to bed in the first leg however with a 5-2 win. Liverpool were all over the place at the back, and although they kept four clean sheets in a row in the Premier League they slipped to a 1-0 defeat away to Bournemouth at the weekend. That wasn’t ideal preparation for this game, and it was a real blow after the high of beating Manchester United 7-0. The reality is Liverpool still have major issues at the back and they aren’t going away any time soon – the 7-0 win over Manchester United papers over the cracks to be honest. Real Madrid come into the game as the favourites, but they aren’t trading odds on. They are 2.35 at the time of writing, and I’m sure they’ll be a popular bet at the odds given how poor Liverpool have been at the back this season. The issue with Liverpool really is that they only get exposed in the big games against top quality players – that’s when their midfield goes missing, and their defence is seemingly all over the place. Despite all the issues at the back for Liverpool, their average xG created in the Premier League is 2.2 so they do have a chance of a famous comeback here – a very small one but not many teams would actually have even a small chance here!

Given the attacking nature of Klopp and Liverpool, it’s almost impossible to see them sitting back here. They need an open game and goals, carnage almost. From a Real Madrid point of view, they will want as little drama as possible – that being said Liverpool leave so many gaps at the back Real will have a lot of chances. Obviously the 2.35 on Real is a very tempting bet because Liverpool have been so poor at the back this season, and most of their poorer performances have come away from home too. I couldn’t put anyone off the Real bet, but Over 2.5 goals jumps off the page here at 1.6. I expected it to be trading at least ten ticks shorter, and I’m happy to have a Max Bet at the odds. Both sides have so much attacking talent on the pitch, I can’t see this game going long without a spark, and once a goal goes in I expect it to be just like the first leg. Plus Liverpool have to go for it, so we’re very likely to see an open game here with plenty of chances at both ends of the pitch.

The Ultra Says:
Five points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.6 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
