GET THE SEASON ROLLING: Last week didn’t go our way, have to put my hand up and say it. So we’re looking for a big bounce back this weekend to really get the new season rolling. Looking outside the Premier League tonight, but will be back to the big league with tomorrow’s picks. So let’s see if we can win some money this weekend:

BURTON v DERBY
I’m straying away from the Premier League for tonight, solely because I saw a price that I feel is way too good to ignore. You can get Derby at 2.32 on the BETDAQ Exchange right now, which for me is way overpriced! This is a good Derby side, much better than Burton in my opinion, so anything above evens is an absolute bargain.

Sure it has not been the best of starts to the season for the Rams, only picking up one win in their first four games but this is a decent team and I expect them to pick things up this weekend. I really am expecting them to tear Burton apart tonight. We saw what Liverpool did to Burton during the week, making them look like a League 2 side for much of the game. Thing is, this was close to a full strength Burton team.

Derby have spent some money in the offseason, it has not paid off straight away but I think from tonight on they will really take off! They are expected to at least be challenging for a playoff spot, and looking at their squad that’s exactly where I see them being come the end of the season. Look for this one to be a one sided affair in favour of the away side. Verdict – Back Derby @ 2.32.

HULL CITY v MAN UNITED
Not many expected much from Hull City in the Premier League this season, what will their tumultuous offseason. They lost Steve Bruce, didn’t bring in enough talent and to be honest, started the season with a weakened side. Despite all this, they are off to a flyer in their first two games picking up two big wins. They couldn’t have asked for a better start, but this weekend is different than their last two games.

Although their first game was against last year’s champions, Leicester still would not be considered one of the giants of English football. Man United on the other hand are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and now they are visiting Hull. United have been in excellent form to start the season, Mourinho looks comfortable in the roll and Ibrahimovic has been in excellent form, showing he is still one of the best strikers in the world.

This one really could get ugly for Hull if they don’t play smart. United will come at them from the first whistle and Mourinho would not be renowned for having sympathy for sides if his team is in the lead. I expect to see a few goals for Man United in this one, and I think it will be a pretty comfortable win. Verdict – Man United -1 @ 1.75

CRYSTAL PALACE v BOURNEMOUTH
I’m liking the look of this Palace team now that they have their pieces in place. They lost Bolasie, but Townsend will be very much a like for like replacement and they have a massive upgrade in the striker role. Things didn’t work out for Benteke at Liverpool, but that doesn’t mean that he is not a quality player. Just remember how he performed for Aston Villa and you can see there is plenty of hope for him going forward.

I think Bournemouth are the easiest team to play in the Premier League at this moment in time. They were very satisfied staying up last year, and they had a great campaign, but they haven’t exactly pushed on this year. They didn’t make many signings that will be major game changers and to me their squad looks pretty shallow. As well as this, the style of football they play, while great to watch does allow teams to play themselves. So if things aren’t going the way of Bournemouth, it is too easy for the opposition. I think Palace will be more up for them, and are a pretty good price to get the win at home. Verdict – Back Crystal Palace @ 2.36
