It’s over to Hove tonight where there are nine Opens on the card.

Punting opportunities are thin on the ground but I’ve found a couple out of the five maidens and four supporting heats.

The first Open race is the 20.18, race 4, where I like trap 2 Murlens Crash who ran well last week behind the the winning machine You’re a Champ. Although he is 0 from 2 in Hove sprints he ran above expectations last week but he must pass Pams Tomjo in trap 1 and hopefully they wont screw each other up, he was a 7 chance last week and anything from 3.25 and better warrants a small wager. I don’t fancy traps 4, 5 and 6 in the race.

hovegreyhoundsSkip to race 9 at 21.40 where my second selection is Airlie Impact in trap 6 who I fancy strongly to turn around 14th of Feb form with Bridge Ruth. He hadn’t run in a competitive race for a while before last week and that run would have blown away the cobwebs. He was also in trap 5 whilst this week he is in trap 6 where he is 5 from 11 with a lifetime of 5 from 14, so he feels at home in 6.

He only has to find 1 1/2 lengths on Bridge Ruth which i think is possible. Of the others trap 1 is taking a big step back in distance, his 12 wins range from 575 to 750 so trip would be a problem there. Trap 2 has been in season and hasn’t been seen since 18 Oct but loves Hove and is 8 from 10 there and there has been money for her which I’m ignoring.

Trap 3 is drawn bad and 4 was a 100 shot.(Now a NR)

Small wager on Murlens Crash and follow this up with main bet on Airlie Impact around 4.5 or better.

TREVDAQ SELECTIONS:
TRAP 6 AIRLIE IMPACT (NAP) (21.40 Hove)
TRAP 2 MURLENS CRASH (20.18 Hove)
