UEFA NATIONS LEAGUE: We preview Monday’s UEFA Nations League matches between GERMANY v NETHERLANDS and DENMARK v REPUBLIC OF IRELAND with recommended BETDAQ bets.
GERMANY V NETHERLANDS
7.45pm It’s hard to believe that Germany find themselves with one point after three games in the UEFA Nations League and regardless of the result tonight they will get relegated. After a very poor World Cup summer they now look like a team going backwards and they will have to find the answers soon. The Netherlands on the other hand have a chance to top Group A1 and make it to their first major tournament in a while after missed out on the last two.
Germany are favourites with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; Germany 1.99, Netherlands 4.1 and the draw is 3.8. The Netherlands have been very impressive in this Group and beat Germany comfortably when they had home advantage. Obviously Germany now being at home will make a huge difference; however the Netherlands bossed that game 3-0 and will Germany not in great form – they look very short at 1.99. The Netherlands come into this tie off the back of a 2-0 win over the World Champions France on Friday night and we have to lay Germany here from a value point of view. 1.99 looks very short.

DENMARK V REPUBLIC OF IRELAND
7.45pm The Republic Of Ireland are back in action tonight; however it is Denmark can enjoy it as they are already Group winners after beating Wales 2-1 away from home on Friday night. Ireland are assured of relegated no matter what the result is and you couldn’t say that they deserve anything else. They have been playing poor football all year and scoring goals is a huge problem for them at the moment.
The one thing you might say about Ireland is that they might be better away from home compared to at home because of their style of play – they aren’t really good have a lot of possession and a more counter-attacking style of play suits them. It’s still hard to see where the goals will come from for Ireland though and Denmark are odds on favourites with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; Denmark 1.61, Republic Of Ireland 7.6 and the draw is 3.9. We can’t see past a Denmark win here at 1.61 which looks ten ticks too big – these sides have met a lot recently with the World Cup Playoff included and Denmark have looked a class above – we’re happy to take the 1.61 on a home win.
