WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS: We preview Sunday’s games between ENGLAND v LITHUANIA, SCOTLAND v SLOVENIA and NORTHERN IRELAND v NORWAY with recommended BETDAQ bets.

ENGLAND V LITHUANIA

5pm Let’s be honest, this will be a straightforward win for England – anything other than that would be a huge shock. There’s not much point focusing too much time on the match odds market, with England currently just 1.13! Gareth Southgate suffered his first defeat as England manager on Wednesday night away to Germany, however England bossed the first half and were the better side for much of the game so they won’t be too bothered about the result.

Lithuania arrive into Wembley with a woeful away record, they’ve gone 14 away games without a win and haven’t scored in 11 of those. It’s tempting to back England on the -2 goal handicap however they were pretty impressive Wednesday night so we’re going to take a chance with Any Other Home Win (England to score 4 or more and win) at around 2.7.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Any Other Home Win at 2.7.

SCOTLAND V SLOVENIA

7.45pm Scotland have had a woeful start to World Cup Qualifying, and currently sit down in 5th position in Group F with only four points after as many games. With Slovenia currently sitting second with eight points, a win here for Scotland is a must – anything else will see their qualification hopes gone nearly. They were frustrated in their warm up game for this one, only managing a home draw against Canada, so they do look a bit short at 2.46 given that Solvenia have looked better in the Group so far.

However, Scotland have a very good record at home – so we’re not too keen on taking them on. If you look at their recent home games, they’ve only lost to England and Germany – which is no shame at all. Another thing to note about their home games though is the lack of goals – and with the feeling of not wanting to take them on, with like under 2.5 goals here at 1.6 in what should be a very tight affair. For those of you more brave, Slovenia aren’t the worst bet at 3.5.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Under 2.5 goals at 1.6.

NORTHERN IRELAND V NORWAY

7.45pm Germany will be the winners of Group C, there is no doubt about that. However, things are very interesting in the battle for second. Northern Ireland currently hold that place on goal difference, and sit four points ahead of Norway who only have three points after four games. Norway would have been bitterly disappointed to lose to Azerbaijan, and Northern Ireland look good value here at 2.46.

They are undefeated in their last seven competitive games at home, and have kept clean sheets in five of their last six at home too – an impressive run of form. Norway’s recent games don’t impress us at all, and with Northern Ireland having such good form at home, the 2.46 looks massive here.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Northern Ireland to beat Norway at 2.46.
