SATURDAY FOOTBALL: Big weekend of football with Premier League and FA Cup semi-final action from Wembley. Get our verdict on all games including EVERTON v MAN U at 5.15pm.

PREMIER LEAGUE:

Manchester City v Stoke 12-45

Stoke managed to win this fixture last season, however before that though they had lost the previous six without scoring a goal – you can certainly see that happening again looking at Stoke’s last two games, conceding four against Spurs and Liverpool, and they have now gone eight away games without a clean sheet. Sergio Aguero will be looking forward to having a go at the Stoke back four, having scored 14 goals in his last 13 league games, he is in superb form and is currently trading around 4.2 to score first. Man City -1.5 goals could be the best bet here at around 1.9 though.

Bournemouth v Chelsea 3-00

Chelsea look a shade of value for this game at around the 2.44 mark that they are currently trading, they have only conceded three goals in the eight Premier League away games that Hiddink has been in charge, and Bournemouth’s defense has been quite poor lately, they have conceded 12 goals in their last five league games and look to be finishing their season relatively quiet. Chelsea haven’t been in great form themselves, however at the prices they do look to be a good bet.

Liverpool v Newcastle 3-00

Newcastle have found form just at the right time and look to further boost their chances of survival after a draw midweek against Manchester City. They might not be in for an enjoyable afternoon an Anfield though as they have failed to win in their last 20 Premier League visits, losing 17 of those! Liverpool are riding on the crest of a wave at the moment and confidence will be further boosted by their hammering of Everton midweek. Newcastle have managed just three wins in their last 30 away games in the league and have lost the last nine in a row. Its hard to see anything but a Liverpool win here and at around 1.6, that looks big enough to back.

Aston Villa v Southampton 3-00

What a shambles Aston Villa have got themselves into this season, and this last week has been nothing but an embarrassment for the club, with their captain Joleon Lescott saying it was a “weight of the shoulders” to have relegation confirmed after losing to United the weekend. Team moral must be at rock bottom and its hard to see how they can win here, Southampton might not be the best 1.6 shot of the weekend, but they are solid enough to get the job done against this Aston Villa side.

FA CUP:

Everton v Manchester United 5-15

Everton will arrive into Wembley on Saturday evening hoping to bounce back after their humiliating defeat to Liverpool midweek. They are now without a win in six, losing three and drawing three – included in those losses is a 1-0 defeat to United too. They have managed just two goals in those six games which has to be a worry if you’re thinking about backing them at around the 4.0 mark, and while United have been poor at times this season, and have put people asleep at times this season, they do look to be the call here at around the 2.06 mark. Everton’s goal scoring form would have to be a major worry given that Van Gaal generally sets United up well at the back, and given how easily Liverpool banged in the goals midweek, United should be able to find the net at the other end. It could be a quiet affair though, and under 2.5 goals at around the 1.9 mark is another strong option for a bet.
