PREVIEW
York’s game was abandoned last night after a deluge of rain. It has been rescheduled for Monday evening.
So it SHOULD be Man City’s title SHOULD they avoid defeat to West Ham.
But the two ‘SHOULD’s’ above mean that there is still hope for Liverpool who need to beat Newcastle at Anfield. If they do that then the fate of the Premier League title lies in the hands of Man City and West Ham.
A draw would be good enough for Man City but that’s far too dangerous to rely on. In fact, the longer it stays a draw the more desperate Man City will get as there is ALWAYS the risk of conceding a fluke goal, penalty etc. 0-0 at 85 minutes would put ALL of the pressure on City.
On balance though that’s not a likely scenario and Man City should calm all their supporters nerves with an early goal which will see the party start early.
Expect them to add at least another three so we can land a final ANY OTHER SCORE of the season.
