SHAMROCK NAPS AT TRAMORE: Irish racing on Friday comes from Tramore and SHAMROCK plays his nap card in the novice hurdle at 5.50.

The nap, Brendan Bracken, came up short at Leopardstown last night when second to the progressive Custom Cut in the Group 3 Desmond Stakes.

Irish action on Friday comes courtesy of the jumps at Tramore.

The novice hurdle at 5.50 looks interesting despite a field of only six.

The Willie Mullins trained Ashjar is already the best in on official ratings and also has the most potential given he has only had four starts over hurdles.

He won his maiden hurdle here in May but since then has had three starts on the flat which included breaking his maiden tag at Roscommon.

He was a very disappointing tailed off last of 14 in a Curragh handicap last time out over a mile which undoubtedly proved too short.

Back over hurdles tonight should be the key in a race that shouldn’t take much winning.

The Gordon Elliott trained Moss Street has picked up two small field races recently but was a well beaten third of four at Perth last time out.

Here For The Craic won a maiden hurdle in good style at Kilbeggan and then ran twice at the Galway Festival without success but should find this easier.
