NAP SECOND AT 6/1: SHAMROCK made a bold bid to land his fourth NAP in a row but came up short at Dundalk when Akasaka finished second at 6/1.
Akasaka traded short in running on BETDAQ having originally been a drifter and stayed on well at Dundalk to finish second at 6/1 but unfortunately brought to an end the run of three winning naps.
Thurles stage a seven race card on Thursday on expected soft ground.
Clondaw Court looks the banker on the card for Willie Mullins in the Rock Of Cashel Hurdle at 2.00. He gave long odds on backers an almighty shock when scrambling home by a head on his hurdling debut at Leopardstown but was much more convincing over today’s course and distance on his next start.
For the nap I’m taking another Mullins runner to score. Max Dynamite in the maiden hurdle at 1.25 who also had an entry in the Grade 1 Royal Bond this weekend.
That probably tells us a lot in terms of the expectations of this ex-French runner who contested some high quality races on the flat.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Max Dynamite (1.25 Thurles)
