Venitien De Mai made hard work of landing the odds at Limerick yesterday, making a bad mistake at the 8th and only holding on by a neck in a desperate finish.
Lyrical Theatre looks the answer to the Kerry Group E.B.F. Shannon Spray Mares Novice Hurdle (Grade 3) at Limerick this afternoon. The Willie Mullins trained mare was beaten by odds-on stable companion Morning Run in a Grade 3 at Fairyhouse last time out but finished nicely clear of those in behind and can resume winning ways in this company.
Dalmatia looks the biggest danger. She was formerly trained by Sir Michael Stoute on the flat and won her maiden hurdle at Clonmel in grand style.
