Edelpour was one of four winners for Dermot Weld on the Gowran Park card yesterday.
A big day at Leopardstown today with the Guineas trial races and the Ballysax trial for the Derby but Investec Derby favourite John F Kennedy seems to have scared away all the opposition and is currently trading at 1.22 on BETDAQ. He was hugely impressive when winning the Group 3 John Deere Juvenile Turf Stakes here at Leopardstown last season and will be partnered by Ryan Moore as the new Ballydoyle relationship gets underway.
Fortunately, the Guineas trial races are a little more competitive:

Dermot Weld demonstrated how well his horses are at Gowran Park yesterday and I’m keen on the chances of his Zawraq here. He stayed on close home to beat the odds-on and well regarded Sir Isaac Newton here last season (7 lengths back to third) and will certainly be suited by the step-up in trip.
3:15 Leopardstown 1,000 Guineas Trial Stakes (Fillies’ Group 3) (3yo, Class 1, 7f, 8 runners)
The Kevin Ryan trained Calypso Beat probably achieved the most last season and is very speedy. She made all to win a Listed race at Newmarket over 6f but also ran well over this trip at Newmarket to finish second to Muraaqaba in the Sweet Solera Stakes.
