MULTIMAN SWITCHES TO TENNIS: And a double on the Ladies Semi Final games at Wimbledon on Thursday.
The frustrating start to July continued yesterday when MUHADATHAT was beaten a neck and the second selection ENCANTAR won.
I’ll see if a switch to tennis can bring about a change in fortune today.
First up on Centre Court is Garbine Muguruza v Agnieszka Radwanska.
The pressure might be on the more experienced Radwanska here and I think rising star Muguruza can come through. She progressed to the quarter finals at Roland Garros last year, knocking out Serana Williams along the way, and is gradually finding her form on grass. The 21-year-old has won her last two round in straight sets and her aggressive play style may be too much for Radwanska.
Amazingly, Serena Williams has beaten Sharapova the last 16 times they have met and that should be extended in the second semi-final. Williams sometimes gets off to a slow start and hasn’t played her best tennis so far at this tournament but is on a Grand Slam mission and the Russian is likely to come off second best again.
