NAP 3rd AT 8/1: SHAMROCK’s nap ran third at 8/1 yesterday. He returns to Listowel on Thursday for a nap in the opener.
I had a brilliant run from the nap, Rule The World, in the Guinness Kerry National Handicap Chase at Listowel yesterday.
He ended up finishing third at 8/1 to stable companion Rogue Angel who pipped Urano in the dying strides in a thrilling finish.
Rule The World travelled well throughout and hit a shade of odds-on on BETDAQ in running.
The race was marred by the deaths of the favourite Lots Of Memories and Owega Star who were injured after suffering falls at the 12th fence.
Listowel again stage a mixed card on Thursday with four flat and four jumps races.
The going has eased, slightly…. National Hunt: Soft. Flat: Soft to Heavy (Dry overnight). Forecast: Risk of light showers later today.
The opening maiden over a mile shouldn’t take too much winning and might be the ideal opportunity for the Dermot Weld trained Tadaany to open his account.
He hasn’t been beaten far on all five of his starts and proved he could handle cut in the ground when runner-up to Romiac at the Galway Festival.
The appropriately named Rainfall Radar ran a fair race at Tipperary last time out when third. She looks the danger but is, as yet, untried on ground this testing.
