LOSER IS A WINNER: MULTIMAN ended up with a profit from his losing acca – thanks to an ‘insurance’ lay on Monday.
So, England did manage to come out of Europe twice in a week 🙁

As discussed yesterday, I laid England for 50 points to finish the bet with a 25 point profit but still can’t really believe how badly they played – especially after taking the lead inside four minutes.
I deliberated long and hard about doing the lay – and was convinced in the end by a friend who knows England’s football CV all too well. Thank goodness I did, otherwise I would have ended up with more mud on my face than a Glastonbury reveller.
Whilst it proved right yesterday – cashing out, or laying doesn’t always work of course. There is a strong argument that says if you intend to do that – then why have the bet in the first place ? I guess a lot, as always, comes down to gut instinct. The sequencing of bets always makes a different too. Insurance options become cheaper if you have the shortest price legs at the end.
So it was wasn’t the end of month recovery I had hoped for – but there’s still three days left and I am having a racing double today !
