He was a very easy winner of a maiden hurdle at Down Royal in May but subsequently disqualified for a prohibitive substance so is very much a winner without a penalty here and is the rare case of a maiden winner being allowed to run in a maiden again.
He has run well since in a flat race and this contest looks an easier challenge than what he faced at Down Royal.
Ard Na Carraig has run well in two starts over jumps at Bellewstown and looks the danger.
