Listowel continues today with the third day of their Harvest Festival meeting and the going is now heavy.
They also race on the beach at Laytown this afternoon.
Best bet at Laytown could be Strait Of Zanzibar to follow up on his easy success of last year – now off a mark 3lb lower. Pauline Condon rides again and previous course winners often perform well – the problem is there are not many of them with Laytown racing just once a year!
Strait Of Zanzibar has had a busy season but showed his current well-being with an excellent third at Galway last time out over the same seven furlong trip as today.
